Nice USB sharing for yubikey across room to HTPC

I found this software which enables you to REMOTELY attach a usb pheripheral to a rpi4 and then use it on anotther computer. The main gist is that I can have a NICE rpi4 (of which I have a plethora) running near my easy chair, with a yubikey nano attached, and then be able to use it to do FIDO2 auth ACROSS THE ROOM without a wire on my HTPC which is 30 feet away from me. So basically I can run without wires or expensive usb exenders to do this. I MIGHT even be able to use a usb microphone (not that I need to) in the same way. It works with ANY usb pheripheral, I tested it with my yubi and it worked nice.

The only thing they really don't tell you is the easiest setup is if you have a wired connection, and use an OOB wifi connection to talk to the pheripheral sharing device. Getting the other networks to work is a bit of a hassle. Also the ui doesnt' show up with console. So the rPI image works fine, if you follow their directions.

In other news, my new sit stand desk is coming (the ikea one). I am throwing out my VERY expensive and useless steelcase ology. NEVER BUY ONE! The SUCK!
