# Updates for May 7 2023. I have been diong Cyber Security for 25 years! EEKS!

## General Musings

I just had a wonderful visit with my family for my birthday. I served omlettes and a very nice french dessert (completely gluten AND dairy free) and no one noticed!. In addition to this I had a wonderful time with my relatives. Its wonderful what healing can do to otherwise previously fractured relationships. Forgiveness and a bit of taking oneself less seriously really helps.

## New Software

- [Nice EMU](https://hackaday.com/2023/05/06/pc-classics-right-in-your-browser-with-emuos/) in your browser for classic games
- [New Pulse](https://github.com/pulse-browser/browser) browser FF without the telemetry
- [Nice adobe font](https://github.com/adobe-fonts/sourcehttps://github.com/adobe-fonts/source-code-pro?ref=itsfoss.com-code-pro%3Fref%3Ditsfoss.com) for your terminal
- [omblepy](https://github.com/userx14/omblepy)- Lets you use your omron W/O giving your health data to them!
- [obpm](https://github.com/LazyT/obpm)- Same but pretty gui
- [Nice mk68](https://github.com/croniccorey/openwrt/releases) openwrt firmware

Other nice things

- I updated my website (need to update my [recipe.munn.me](http://recipe.munn.me) with the new recipes).
- I calibriated my monitors with this
- [How to get brightness working in ubuntu](https://ubuntuhandbook.org/index.php/2023/02/brightness-external-monitor-ubuntu/)

Seems like HDR is a BAD idea for calibrating monitors.
